Description:

This scenery adds several static aircraft to the Honolulu airport that I created, honolu.zip. I have had several requests for static aircraft due to the A1 aircraft combined with the scenery density is just too much for some computers. I have added the static aircraft at two different density levels, on dense you get four aircraft at the ends of the terminals spanning the airport, at very dense you get an additional four aircraft near the inner gates spanning the airport, so you can select which setting best suits your frame rates. At a normal setting, you will get no static aircraft. This scenery also includes ramp stop lines around the terminal, which I added after releasing the scenery originally.

Installation:

1. Extract scenry into a temporary folder named whatever you like. Then remove the folder within named Honolulu Int, and place it in your FS2002 scenedb folder, or extract the file directly into your scenedb folder in your main FS2002 folder. Which ever method works best for you.

2. Turn on Flight Simulator and go to the World tab, then down to scenery library then press add. Find the scenedb folder and open it, then find the Honolulu Int folder and click on it. Honolulu Int should appear in the title window, then click OK. Your computer should go black and make a lot of gurgling noises, and when it comes back up you will have the new scenery. Now you have to get rid of the FS terminal.

3. Now you must go into the FS2002 main scenery config. file and copy and paste the following line directly at the end of the Honolulu section. The file will be found in your main FS2002 folder. Simply scroll down past the folders, and you will see some notebook icons, the one named scenery is the main config. file. Click on it to open and scroll all the way to the bottom, which is where Honolulu should be since you just installed it. Then paste the following line at the end of the section.

Exclude=N21 19.93,W157 55.59,N21 19.65,W157 54.93,all

4. You can now go back into FS and enjoy your new airport!

Notes:

I created this add on for those of you who wish to have the scenery with aircraft, but cannot afford the excessive frame rates of having your A1 aircraft set at 100%. There will still be a drag on frame rates if you include all eight static aircraft, which is why I also put in the option of setting your sliders to dense. This will ease up frame rates, but will give you just the four most visible static aircraft at the ends of the terminal. If you want all the static aircraft, slide your scenery density settings up to very dense. Normal settings will give you no static aircraft, but the same scenery I released earlier this year, with the exception of the terminal ramp stop lines and lights. If you have my earlier version installed without static aircraft, you can leave it there, as long as this scenery is at a higher position in the scenery library, it will dominate over any earlier versions.
